Ultrasonic sensors are sensors developed using ultrasonic characteristics. Ultrasound has a great ability to penetrate liquids and solids, especially in solids where sunlight is opaque, and can penetrate depths of tens of meters. Ultrasonic sensors can be used in dust, fog, or steam situations, and are ideal for non-contact position and distance measurements. P+F ultrasonic sensors mainly include opposed type sensors, direct detection type sensors, processor separated type sensors, dual sheet detectors, and accessories
P+F ultrasonic sensors are widely used in the printing industry. The following is an introduction to the process of using ultrasonic sensors for our cooperative customers

Film covering is a processing technology that covers the surface of printed matter with a plastic film coated with an adhesive, and then undergoes heating and pressure treatment to bond the plastic film with the printed matter, forming a paper/plastic integrated product
Due to the addition of a thin and transparent plastic film on the surface of the coated printed matter, the surface is smoother and brighter, which improves the glossiness and fastness of the printed matter. The color of the graphics and text is more vivid, full of three-dimensional feeling, and also plays a role in waterproof, antifouling, wear resistance, folding resistance, and chemical corrosion resistance。
When the film covered by the laminating machine is not easy to be broken by mechanical tension, it is necessary to detect the overlap between the two layers of paper through a sensor and cut it open with a knife. At the red circle in the upper picture, the transmitter and receiver are installed in opposition. During normal startup and operation, when there is no paper, one green light of the sensor is always on, and one red light flashes. The missing signal D2 has an output. When the paper enters, a green light comes on and a red light comes on. When the overlap of two layers of paper is detected, the two green lights are on, and the label/splice signal D1 is output. Here, only the label/splice signal D1 (black line) is used. When the overlap is detected, the switching value D1 acts, and the PLC starts counting the encoder pulses. When the corresponding pulse of the set paper length is reached, the cutting mechanism operates to cut the overlap between the two sheets of paper
